HUMAN MICROBIOME

COMPUTATIONAL

BIOLOGY

We have developed informatics tools for proteomic quantitation. In order to accurately measure the quantity of proteins in biological samples, we developed an informatics tool CRAFTS (Combinatorial Ratio Analysis For Targeted Spectrometry) to detect interference in targeted MS/MS

We are developing tools for the integration of metagenomics, metatranscriptomics, 16S and proteomics to discover novel pathways to better understand the normal and diseased microbiome.

As part of the Clinical Proteomics Tumor Analysis Consortium (CPTAC), we are focusing on the application of computational and statistical methods to model biological systems and human heath.  Our primary focus within this study is in the analysis of proteomics, genomics and transcriptomics of breast cancer tumors to allow for better understanding of the static and dynamic status of the disease.
